SHRI DURGA SHIKSHA NIKETAN MAHILA MAHAVIDYALAYA

This Mahila Mahavidyalaya was started by the Samiti in
JULY 2006. The Samiti found the area where this Mahavidyalaya
is situated has the demand of an institution like this. Shri Jagjeevan
Prasad and Smt. Raj Kumari ji hold the various frequent meeting of
all the members of Samiti and discussed the problem in detail. The
Samiti passed the resolution and gave their whole hearted consents
to start the Mahavidyalaya. Shri Jagjeevan Prasad and Smt. Raj
Kumari ji laid the foundation stone 26th Feb. 2006. Its inaugural
ceremony was performed by then Vidhan Sabha Adyaksh Shri Mata
Prasad Pandey on 18th July 2006. Economically retarded and eager
five students where admitted to the institutions on the same day.
This Mahavidyalaya appointed Dr. Mandavi Chandra as the principal
of this college. Ten other teachers of the various fields were
appointed by a committee of subject experts detailed by the
University of Lucknow.
The college got its affiliation from Lucknow University. The college has a magnificent building of its own. It has sufficient rooms where students of various subjects can take there classes. The subject taught are- Hindi, English, Ancient Indian History, Political Science Sociology, Geography, Home Science and all subject commerce. The college has laboratories for Home Science and Geography separately.
The first of students appeared in the University examination in 2007. the pass percentage of Mahavidyalaya was 90% which it-self shows the level of teaching and loyalty of lecturers.
Mrs. Dr. Mandavi Chandra left the Vidyalaya due to her personal problems at the end of session 2006-07. Mrs. Dr. Simmy Tiwari was appointed principal of this Mahavidyalaya in the beginning of the session 2007-08. It is hoped that this Mahila Mahavidyalaya will reach at the top in the field, which will be proved as boom to uplift the educational standard of the area.
